Our 8-Week Salon Basic Nail Academy is designed for complete beginners who want to gain the skills, confidence, and practical experience needed to start working as a professional nail technician.

The programme consists of eight weekly training sessions, each lasting approximately 6 hours, delivered in a supportive small-group environment.

Academy Curriculum

Week 1

Health & Safety, Salon Hygiene, Gel Polish & E-File Course

Build strong foundations from day one by learning professional salon standards, health and safety procedures, infection prevention, sanitation, disinfection, sterilisation, and client care protocols.

You will then move on to nail anatomy, natural nail preparation, cuticle work, safe e-file techniques, gel polish application, finishing techniques, and correct product removal.

Week 2

Introduction to Gel Extensions – Theory & Foundations

Learn product knowledge, nail architecture, correct form fitting, nail structure, product control, and the fundamental principles of professional gel extensions.

Week 3

Introduction to Gel Extensions – Practical Workshop

Develop your application skills through guided practical training. Focus on structure, apex placement, product control, filing techniques, and salon-safe working methods.

Week 4

Introduction to Gel Extensions – Model Day

Put your skills into practice while working on a live model under educator supervision.

Focus on complete service execution, time management, structure, shaping, finishing, and troubleshooting.

A model is required for this training day.

Week 5

Master Your Shapes

Learn how to create elegant, balanced salon shapes with precision and consistency.

Master the most requested salon shapes while improving symmetry, refinement, and finishing techniques.

Week 6

Expert BIAB

Learn one of the most requested salon services.

Master natural nail strengthening, overlays, infills, structure building, troubleshooting, and techniques designed to create beautiful long-lasting results.

Week 7

Salon Nail Art & Social Media for Nail Technicians

Create practical nail art designs that clients genuinely love and request.

Learn how to present your work professionally, create engaging content, build your portfolio, attract clients, and grow your online presence.

Week 8

Graduation & Professional Photoshoot

Celebrate your achievement with a graduation ceremony and professional photoshoot.

Receive your certificate, build your portfolio, and leave the academy with professional content ready for your social media and future marketing.
